How it began
A Cellar Born fromPure Obsession
It started in 2010 with a single case of Burgundy and an obsession that refused to be contained. Navjot Suman, then a young sommelier working in London's finest restaurants, kept returning to the same frustration: the world's greatest wines were invisible in India. Not unavailable — invisible.
He quit his job, flew to Beaune, and spent three months visiting estates that most wine lovers only read about. Armed with cases of extraordinary wine and a determination to share them, he returned to India and started Vino Noir from a small warehouse in Jalandhar.
Fifteen years later, that obsession has grown into India's most respected fine wine merchant — but the philosophy hasn't changed. Every bottle we stock is one we've tasted, approved, and fallen in love with. If it doesn't move us, it won't move to your cellar.

We Travel the World
Our sommeliers visit producers in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Tuscany, Napa, and beyond — tasting from barrel, meeting winemakers, and understanding terroir firsthand.
We Taste Everything
Only wines that pass our rigorous blind-tasting panel are selected. Less than 12% of wines we taste make it into the collection.

We work with licensed importers, bonded warehouses, and direct estate relationships to ensure impeccable provenance on every bottle.
